Safety US Government reports on Marine Safety Accidents can be found at: https://www.ntsb.gov/investigations/AccidentReports/Pages/Reports.aspx Dry Dock Master The successful candidate should have the following: 10 years’ experience in the shipyard industry including Naval Architecture education; a minimum of 7 years’ experience in the operation of floating dry docks; demonstrated track record in the ability to coordinate, communicate with, and manage personnel for effective project planning and execution, adhering to capacity parameters and all pertinent dry dock practices associated with sound loading, pumping, and overall operation; demonstrated competency in the operation, control, and command of dock evolutions, ship handling, and alignment for all docking/undocking and berthing evolutions; ability to evaluate, manage, and execute ground to water new build vessel transfers utilizing various means of mobilization. Other responsibilities will include but are not limited to; oversight and participation in all aspects of dry dock and pier associated housekeeping, maintenance, and repair; assist the yard manager with vessel repair project management and interfacing with customer representatives on multiple levels.
